The idea for this house came from our mother, Antonia María Lorenzo, self-nicknamed Mamita for her grandchildren.

A Canarian woman, beautiful, full of ideas, innovative, who got on with everyone she met and could tell them the most outrageous things without anyone getting angry with her; intuitive, a fighter and protector of her family. She came to Ibiza in the 70s with her husband and his family.

She arrived in Ibiza in the 1970s with her husband and three daughters aged five, three and one year. Initially it was to be for a short time. She fell in love with the island and its idiosyncrasies and what was to last a couple of years ended up becoming her place to live, where she had another daughter. At the end of the 70s, he started the construction of the house, loading his six hundred with as many sacks of cement as necessary, not hesitating to roll up his sleeves when necessary. He wanted it to be a house for his family, giving importance to Canarian and Ibizan elements, to the presence of plants such as bougainvilleas and cactus, and in it, endless celebrations were held and people were always welcome, different and varied people, and when they knocked on the door they were always welcomed. When his daughters were born, they were always welcomed.

When her daughters became independent, and life gave her some setbacks, she reconverted the house into what it is now: a tourist accommodation for travellers to enjoy, thus building a project impregnated with her personality and her good treatment, a project that she has now left in the hands of her daughters, who, in her memory, want to make a small tribute to the fantastic woman who put them on the road.
